1979 saw 27 people come forward witnessing UFO’s in the Spalding area prompting the local press to form a dossier and the incidents even captured the attention of Spalding MP Richard Body. Clusters of lights of various forms were seen throughout the area.
To look into the phenomena a local organisation formed called Lincolnshire Earth Mysteries Research.
Was it some experimental aircraft?
Was it large American helicopters from Mildenhall called Jolly Green Giants?
Were Harrier jump jet pilots from RAF Wittering taking the piss out of the locals?
